Train Services hit by Telangana Protest

After the submission of resignation of the MPs and MLA from most of the Telangana region to the Speaker and respective parties.  There was no action taken on the Telangana statehood issue taken by Center.  However, Government is no mood to consider the request and also put on hold the acceptance of the minister resignation for their parties.

As TRS Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao has mentioned that if the resignation does not help, then agitation will move to "Rail Roko" protest and try to cut the connection between the southern region railways to the northern region and other parts.

Telangana Rastra Samithi began their protest of "Rail Roko" on Thursday at the Cherlapally railway station by stopping them which were reaching Hyderabad. However, railways have arranged bus facilities to the railways commuter so that they reach their destinations.

There were about 182 bus facilities provided to the passenger who were hit by these rail roko protest in order to reach their destination.  The rail roko protest hit Garibrath, Rajkot and Hussain Sagar Expresses were detained at Tandur, Aurangabad-Hyderabad passenger at Vikarabad, Chennai-Kachiguda Express at Mahbubnagar, Parbani-Hyderabad passenger at Kamareddy, Ajanta Express at Nizamabad, Charminar Express at Nekkonda, Gautami Express at Intikanne and Godavari and Narayanadri Expresses at Bibinagar.

Chief officer of Railways also mentioned that there immediate actions taken when the protest was taken to safe guard the trains and passengers, all instructions were issued to the railways department to drive at 50 kmph and also loco, coaches to run ahead of the train.  All tracks were patrolled by the RPF guards and police.

On the Chenani - Kachiguda express, around 923 passengers were boarded in 18 buses in order to reach the destination.  Some of long distance trains were held up for several hours on the station which included Patna-Ernakulam and Nizamabad-Visakhapatnam expresses which were stopped at Kazipet and the Darbanga-Bengaluru Express at Yelgur in Warangal district.  However, the railways when ahead and provided food and water facilties to the passengers.
