Speakers Rejects Resignation of all T Ministers.

Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar has rejected all the resignation of the T Minsiters who have submitted them in protest for support of Telangana Statehood issues.

State Speaker N. Manohar has mentioned that he has rejected all the 101 resignations submitted by the Ministers as these may create emotionaly atmosphere in the state related to the Telangana state hood issue.

With this announcement made by the speakers, TRS 11 legislators members have decided that they will be re-submitting their resignation to the Speakers.  However, reaction from Congress, TDP lobby is yet to come, as they will meeting on the further action to be taken to Telangana issue.

There were about 100 MLA from all parties who have submitted their resignation to the Government in demand of Telangana state, of which 47 are from Congress, 37 from TDP, 11 from TRS, 4 from CPI and 2 from BJP.

These 9 districts of Telangana region comprise of 119 seats in 294 assembly. These resignation were aimed at Central Government to take action on the state hood of Telangana.

Telangana region accounts for 119 seats in the 294-member assembly. The resignations were aimed at creating a constitutional crisis and forcing the central government to take a decision on carving out a separate state.

The decision of not accepting the resignation came from the Speakers before going to his Commomwealth meet and then he will not be available for the month August.

Telangana at halt after the Suicide of Yadi Reddy

All the 9 districts have come to halt after the suicide of Yadi Reddy at India Gate in New Delhi.

He hanged himself at tree near India Gate in protest against the delay happenings for the Telangana Statehood issue.  State Government has decided not to give the body of Yadhi to the Telangana Joint Action Committee which was flown down from Delhi.

M. Yadi Reddy who committed suicide in support of Telangana in New Delhi Wednesday body, which was flown from Delhi Thursday night, was taken in an ambulance to his native village Peddamangalarm.

Hyderabad City was complete shut down with Petrol bunks, shops, Bus services were completely stopped.  Also to be on safer side all colleges and schools have also declared an holiday.  About 600 protesters were taken into custody in Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh for staging protests during a day-long bandh called by TJAC against the handing over of Yadhi Reddy body to them.

The last ritual of Yadhi Reddy were made at Pedamangalaram in Moinabad mandal with Jai Telangana slogans as hundreds of T-protaganists were present at the village to pay their last respects.

It has now becoming a trend of committing suicide for the Telangana Statehood issue with few other youngster in Warangal and RangaReddy Districts trying to commit suicide.

ChandraBabu Naidu asks Question KCR Stands on Telangana Issue

ChandraBabu Naidu has asked questioned on the TRS stand of KCR stands on the Telangana issue.

With the declaration done on Dec 9, for the Telangana Statehood issue, and then it was stated as mis-communication between the parties.  Why was there no stand or question raised by K Chandrasekhar Rao and other parties.  This has also raised question on KCR tie up with Congress and stand on Telangana statehood.

T-Ministers decides to Boycott Cabinet Meeting

For the first time in the history of Andhra Pradesh, all the Telangana minister have decided to boycott the state cabinet meeting to be held on Monday.

This was informed to the Chief Minister Kiran Reddy during a dinner which he had hosted at his residence, which had a turnout of 6-7 ministers out of 38 ministers.  Most of the Telangana ministers have already submitted their paper and are not attending any of the assembly session still they get a separate state.

Congress Ministers held a meeting at Guntur for "Samkhya Andhra" and also plan to boycott the cabinet meetings.  Governor as decided to take some action on the ministers who are planning not attend the meetings.

With ministers submitting their resignation to the Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar, he has decided to take time on deciding what action needs to be taken on them. Currently Speaker is on vacation Europe and UK.  He will return back in August and then decide on what action to be taken.

The state is boiling on the Telangana issue, with ministers taking their protest on road, submitting their resignation and Speaker of the state is on vacation enjoying his foreign trip.

The total of 100 Telangana MLAs belonging to the Congress (45 members included 12 ministers, two PRP and three associate members), TDP (37, including four rebels), TRS (12), CPI (4) and BJP (2) had submitted their resignations on July 4.

With the pressures from local people, a total number of 141 Telangana public representatives including 9 Congress MPs of Lok Sabha, two each of TRS and TDP, several Rajya Sabha, Legislative Council and Assembly members had submitted resignations for the Telangana cause.

Renuka Choudhary was stopped by Telangana activists at Khammam, though she has cleared her stand for support on the separate Telangana state.

Train Services hit by Telangana Protest

After the submission of resignation of the MPs and MLA from most of the Telangana region to the Speaker and respective parties.  There was no action taken on the Telangana statehood issue taken by Center.  However, Government is no mood to consider the request and also put on hold the acceptance of the minister resignation for their parties.

As TRS Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao has mentioned that if the resignation does not help, then agitation will move to "Rail Roko" protest and try to cut the connection between the southern region railways to the northern region and other parts.

Telangana Rastra Samithi began their protest of "Rail Roko" on Thursday at the Cherlapally railway station by stopping them which were reaching Hyderabad. However, railways have arranged bus facilities to the railways commuter so that they reach their destinations.

There were about 182 bus facilities provided to the passenger who were hit by these rail roko protest in order to reach their destination.  The rail roko protest hit Garibrath, Rajkot and Hussain Sagar Expresses were detained at Tandur, Aurangabad-Hyderabad passenger at Vikarabad, Chennai-Kachiguda Express at Mahbubnagar, Parbani-Hyderabad passenger at Kamareddy, Ajanta Express at Nizamabad, Charminar Express at Nekkonda, Gautami Express at Intikanne and Godavari and Narayanadri Expresses at Bibinagar.

Chief officer of Railways also mentioned that there immediate actions taken when the protest was taken to safe guard the trains and passengers, all instructions were issued to the railways department to drive at 50 kmph and also loco, coaches to run ahead of the train.  All tracks were patrolled by the RPF guards and police.

On the Chenani - Kachiguda express, around 923 passengers were boarded in 18 buses in order to reach the destination.  Some of long distance trains were held up for several hours on the station which included Patna-Ernakulam and Nizamabad-Visakhapatnam expresses which were stopped at Kazipet and the Darbanga-Bengaluru Express at Yelgur in Warangal district.  However, the railways when ahead and provided food and water facilties to the passengers.

Jagan declares his support for Telangana Sentiments

Y Jagan Reddy in his Preliminary meeting has declared that they support the Telangana Sentiments and the people

Speaking on the Telangana Issue: Y Jagan Reddy has made it clear that it is very sensitive issue, they do not have the power to form the state or do not have power to stop the state formation.  We are not like other parties who have manifesto during the election, that if they come in power they will work on formation of the Telangana state.  However, they step back as it is not possible.

Telangana state can be formed only on the decision taken by the Central Government and we support the sentiments of the Telangana.  Division of the state into two parts is like playing with the sentiments and life of the citizens.

YSR Congress party will fight for the rights of the farmers and also its citizens.

Telangana Bandh on it second day.

With no reaction from the central Government on the violence and protest going on in the state for the Telangana statehood issue.

On the second day of the Bandh, it has hit the normal life of the people, with schools and colleges being shut down.  Very less turn out of employees in the Government offices.  The RTC and Metro Rail were also not commuting in the city during the Bandh period.

It was good day for the autorickshaw owners who dare to carry passengers and also charge very high rate in order to ferry them to the respective location. All the shops, business houses, hotels, entertainments, educational institutions were closed.

APSRTC has suffered a huge loss with this Bandh and are planning to resume the service by evening to some of the regions in the state.  The people have suffered a lot with these call of Bandh by TRS and T-JAC.

The toll of resignation has reached with 114 MLA and 13 MPs and also Government has no plans on imposing the President rule in the state, in consideration of the violence and protest going on.  A total of 98 MLAs from Telangana have quit the Assembly which  includes 45 from the Congress, 11 from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), 37 from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), and both legislators from Chiranjeevi's Praja Rajyam Party (PRP). Telangana leaders who met up with the Central Government has made it clear that they would like have fixed time for the frame work and also the state formation and any kind of delay which hit the party image.  

Osmania University has once again turned into battle zone between students and police, with police firing rubber bullets, tear gas and sound bombs at them.

Telangana Talks to begin : More ministers ready to resign.

With the 48 hours bandh called by the T-JAC and TRS parties from Tuesday in protest for the Telangana statehood and action on the same by the Central Government and Congress team.

It was turn of more minister to submit their resignation to the assembly and lok sabha speaker on Tuesday, with the first person being MP Vijayshanthi, TRS who has always been pro-active and said that she will be first person to submit her resignation if the process begins.  She has faxed her resignation to the Speaker, joining her was TRS Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao, who also faxed his resignation to the speaker.

From Delhi it was the turn of the Telugu Desam MPs Nama Nageswara Rao and Ramesh Rathod also called on Ms. Kumar and tendered their resignations. With all parties joining hands and going forward with submission of their resignation 4 MLA of CPI and 2 from BJP which included the State President G. Kishan Reddy. 

J. Ranga Reddy (CPI), mentioned that the resignation submitted by parties which are non-congress will no put any pressure on the central Government and now Minister P Shankar Rao has also submitted his papers.

The tally has reached to 99 (out of 119 in Telangana). 12 Ministers and 14 MPs, including a Rajya Sabha member, too have resigned. Many ministers and MPs from Hyderabad had refused to resign and this led to demonstration of Telangana activists in the Assembly.

With the bandh going on peacefully across the city, there were some violence seen at the Osmania Campus, with Police coming into action, firing tear gas and lathi charge also arresting Nagam Janardhan Reddy from the Campus region.

The center has come into action, with several meeting being held across the board between the Congress spokeperson Ghulam Nabi Azad, Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh and Pranab Mukherjee on what action to taken.  The MPs and MLAs have also met Pranab Mukherjee and Azad in order to discuss on the statehood issue.  None of the resignation have yet been accepted by the party or speaker..

However, Azad has mentioned that instead of jumping to the conclusion, they will like to meet the people of Andhra Pradesh and know their views and feedback.  Then they will held all parties and decide on the outcome of the same.

48 hour Telangana Bandh called by T-JAC

Telangana region gears up for the 48 hours Telangana Bandh called the Telangana Joint Action Committe and Telangana Rastra Samithi.

With the bandh called for net 48 hours, this may affect very badly on services for the APSRTC, and autorickshaw will off the road, the South Central Railway suspending its Secunderabad-Falaknuma MMTS services. Shamshabad airport authorities suspending Aeroexpress services.

Many of the IT Companies have decided their schedule on the week long and also provide guidelines to their employees as their will disruption of traffic and also not working of Metro rail. There are several private schools who have already declared holiday for the next two days, and also citizens have started piling up stocks of food and vegetables as their no deadline for the protest when will it will end.

Long queues were seen on the petrol pump and traffic jams were seen across the city, with heavy rush in all markets.  South Central have decided that MTS service will closed from 12 am to 12 pm on July 5 and then decide further.  Auto unions, motor workers and trucks would not operate through the city as the 48 hour bandh call.

APSRTC will not operate through Osmania Campus and has sent circular to the district authorities on the operation of buses.  Most the Entertainment sector, Theatre wil remain closed for the next two days.

Telangana Rastra Samithi Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao has declared that if the Central does not take an action on the Telangana state hood then agitation will move further will Rail Roko on July 8th and 9th, which will lead breakage of the rail link between the South and other states of Country.

78 MLAs and 10 MPs resign from the post for Telangana issue

In the high drama, of ministers and MPs planning to resign if no decision is taken on the Telangana statehood, with T-JAC giving a deadline of June 25 and then the minister decide it as July 4.

Now the Telangana issue, has changed its face with 78 MLA's and 10 MP's across all the parties in the state have submitted their resignation and also called a 48 hour bandh in the city, which will affect the normal life of the people.  There are more minister and MP's to join the group with D Nageswar Rao and Ramesh Rathod planning to submit their resignation on Tuesday.

As many as 39 Congress MLAs and 11 ministers with 34 TDP MLAs have submitted their resignation to the Governor, this is hard blow to CM Kiran Reddy Government.  Though the resignation are not yet accepted by the Governor and Chief Minister.

With the resignation count on increase, the Central quickly turned into action and stated that the rule 1975 clause will be discussed, which will provide preferences to local candidate in the police department and also to make Hyderbad a free zone for employment. Home Minister P Chindabaram also mentioned that he understand this is complex issue and we will start plan of action on it.

However, the bandh is not called off and is supported by T-JAC and TRS parties.  This is going to affect the normal life, with people already stocking up the required food and vegetables, Government employees returning back home, the rail and road will also be affected in the region.

Telangana gets ready for next phase of movement

Telangana movement was slow down due to Election in other states, examination and also a promise of the central Government that decision will be taken after the 5 state election are completed.

Now the Center Government has taken a U turn and not ready to work on any kind of plan on the Telangana statehood issue.  Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) has not decided to taken the movement into next phase with making it more intensified and also getting major ministers, pressurizing Government to decide on it.

Prof. Kondandaram has decided that after the death of K Shankar, who is known as the father of the Telangana movement,  which made delays of their plans on the protest.  The deadline stipulated for the resignation submission of the T-Minister was June 25, which was not a success and every day attacks on the T-ministers, stoppage of convoy across the region has also raised question.

TJAC has now decided for protest in different ways:

  • Plans to block roads, Rail Roko and General strike in the coming days,
  • Again a million march to Hyderabad for the statehood decision. 
  • TJAC has also decided to put pressure on the T-Ministers to support and TDP leader to quit the assembly proceedings. 
  • TJAC is also looking out to work with TRS and BJP and join their protest make it success.
  • Telangana Congress ministers had decided to go on fast on July 5 at the Delhi in order to draft and take action on the Telangana state hood issue.
  • With TDP also being spilt into two camps, N Janardhan Reddy taking up the Telangana issue and criticizing the party leader and also has decided to take two day fast rally at the capital Hyderabad on July 3-4.

Now with Telangana protestors deciding on their action.  Pro-telangana activists has also decided to come into action with meeting the leader at the Center and requesting them not to take an action on the Telangana statehood issue.

Be ready see more action on the Telangana movement in coming days

Congress Ministers get ready to resign and TJAC in action.

With Central Government not willing to take any action or decide on plan on the Telangana statehood issue. TJAC has decided to take the agitation in the next phase or level.

With Congress T-Ministers threaten that they will go forward resign by July 4 with there is no action taken on the Telangana statehood issue.  However, Ghulam Nabi Azad and Congress party is not taking this very seriously, and stated that it is not easy to go forward and declare the state just my going through the some agenda.  They will also need to take the opinion of the AP citizens and also look into the other issue of the state.

Congress T-MPs and MLAs have made it clear that if there is no decision taken on the statehood issue, then they will go forward submit their resignation to Assembly and Lok Sabh speakers and also try to get the party member to follow the same.

T-JAC has also decided to move the movement in the next phase after their meeting at the TNGO Bhavan and discussed on the developments going in the Center and state.  However, with no development seen around, TJAC has decided to continue with their protest programmes and also the Vanta-Varpu across the complete region.

Prof Kodandaram said they would also intensify the movement in the coming months to achieve their goal.
