Sakshat has come out with the Indianize version of the iPad which will be atleast 70% less than the original Apple iPad or any other tablet available in the market. Sakshat has revealed its price at Rs. 1500, and the launch date will be June 2011.
The tablet is going to launched by end of this month and was revealed by Kapil Sibal. This tablet is manufactured by a Canadian firm names Datawind Ltd.

This is 7 inch touchscreen tablet with inbuilt keyboard, Video conferencing, multimedia content, Wi-Fi, USB port, 32GB hard drive and 2GB RAM. This tablet also supports Open Office, SciLab and Internet browsing.
Some of the other specifications are:
- QWERTY keyboard, mouse and a minimum display of 7” colour LCD/TFT (touchscreen optional)

The tablet may be priced at Rs. 2200, however with subsidies, it might come down anywhere between Rs. 1100 - 1500Rs.
