Congress wins No-Confidence motion vote in AP

It was sigh of relief for Chief Minister Kiran Reddy, after he has won the no-confidence motion brought in by Telugu Desam and Telangana Rastra Samithi party.

This no-confidence motion was also supported by Jagan party, which has received a major setback during the voting time.  This is 2nd no confidence motion brought in the house by TDP and TRS, each time, they were on the loosing end.

TDP was defeated by a margin of 38 votes against the no confindence motion moved against CM Kiran Reddy.

The total strength of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly is 287 out of which 122 MLAs voted in favour of the motion and 160 voted against it. Four MLAs were absent from the assembly, while 1 MLA abstained from giving his vote.  In the session which lasted 17-hours, ending at 1:45 am, 16 Congress MLAs, who have turned Jagan loyalists, defied the party by voting in favour of the motion.

However, Chiranjeevi's party Prajarajyam and MIM were the saviour for CM Kiran Reddy party for the day.
