Union Cabinet has cleared all the blocks for a separate Telangana state from Andhra Pradesh. Cabinet has made it clear that it will send to the President for further approval.
Hyderabad will be shared for 10 years as capital for Telangana and Andhra. Cabinet has also setup a group of member who will looking at how the division of water, power and revenue division will be done between the states. This group of ministers will also look to examine on the financial assistance for Andhra Pradesh
The cabinet today cleared major steps for carving out a separate Telangana state from Andhra Pradesh. Hyderabad will be shared for 10 years as the capital.
Sources said Union ministers Pallam Raju, K Chiranjeevi and Kotla Surya Prakash Reddy have threatened to resign over the decision.
In Hyderabad, ministers from Seemandhra have said they will ensure that the resolution is not passed by the state legislature. They have the support of Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy who is also from Seemandhra.
